Step 1

              Optical Drive               

• Remove the 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the laptop which holds the optical drive in place.

• Carefully pull the optical drive out from the laptop.

• Remove the twelve 7 mm Phillips screw from the back of the device.

• Use opening picks or a plastic pry tool to remove the cover on all sides then lift.

              Fan               

• Detach the fan connector from the motherboard.

• Remove one 7 mm Phillips screw at the corner of the fan.

• Remove the fan carefully by pulling upwards.
