What you need

Step 1

              RAM               
  • Unscrew the six screws on the back panel of the laptop using a PH1 Phillips bit.
  • These screws are 4.7mm long with a head diameter of 3.68mm.
  • The screws are attached to the panel. When unscrewing be sure to stop when you hear a click.

Step 2

  • Gently lift the back panel from the side closest to the battery and remove panel

  • Push retention clips outward and then gently slide out of slot

  • Remove white and black wires to make room to remove the second RAM module.

  • Just like RAM Module 1, push retention clips outward and gently slide out the RAM Module.
  • When re-installing RAM modules, be sure to insert them at a 45 degree angle. This is the same angle that they should pop up to after the retention clips are pushed outward.
